Top 5 Movies I wanted to be in!
You watch movies, some you like, some you hate, some you think are so so... but there are those movies you wish you were in... here are my Top 5 Movies I wish I was in.
5. Singing in the Rain
This is my all time favorite movie also my favorite Gene Kelly movie. I loved the songs and the characters and I loved the character Lina Lamont played by Jean Hagen. Her screechy voice that could peel paint and her accent are so funny you'd love to hate her. And the broadway song was fantastic... with the whole GOTTA DANCE routine!
Favorite Quote: Lina Lamont: "What's wrong with the way I talk? What's the big idea? Am I dumb or something?"
4. Dirty Dancing
Awesome dancing, awesome soundtrack and sexy awesome Patrick Swayze! I would watch this movie for hours and copy the dance steps. I never became that good but I've always wanted to do that little dance bit they did where Patrick Swayze is standing behind Jennifer Grey and she has her arms around his neck and he strokes her side and grabs her hand. Dayum that gives me goosebumps!
Favorite Quote: Johnny: "Look, spaghetti arms. This is my dance space. This is your dance space. I don't go into yours, you don't go into mine. You gotta hold the frame."
3. Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2
Blood, guts, gore and psychedelic martial arts. Some of the scenes were absolutely unbelieveable but on the whole I loved the movie. Uma Thurman makes Yellow Track Suits look cool. Me on the other hand... I'd look like a NYC Taxi! lol I liked both volumes and my favorite character was Pei Mei. He was bloody awesome for an old man!
Favorite Quote: Volume 1: The Bride: *spanking a young member of the Crazy 88s with her sword* "This is what you get for fucking around with the Yakuzas!" *with a last spank, lets him go* "Go home to your mother!"
Volume 2: Bill: "No. You're not a bad person. You're a terrific person. You're my favorite person, but every once in a while, you can be a real cunt."
2. Munna Bhai M.B.B.S & Lage Raho Munna Bhai
Maamu... I loved both the movies. Usually a sequel in Bollywood doesn't do that well but the Munna Bhai series just keep getting better and better! Sanjay Dutt is just brilliant and Arshad Warsi was over the top! And my Parsi daddy Boman Irani... dude was rockin' as Dr. Asthana in the first movie and as Lucky Singh in the second. I liked him better as Lucky though. I can watch these two movies over and over again and never get bored.
Favorite Quote: Munna Bhai M.B.B.S.: Munna Bhai: "Circuit, did you know that there are 206 bones in the body?... We never thought about that while breaking them, did we?"
Lage Raho Munna Bhai: Munna Bhai: *Munna Bhai is slapped by a Security Guard* "Gandi said if you are slapped, kindly show them the other cheek!" *he turns his other cheek toward the officer and the officer slaps his other cheek as well and then Munna Bhai punches him* "Gandhi didn't say what to do after he hits the other one!"
1. Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, Dead Man's Chest, At World's End
Pirates, ocean, Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom... need I say more? Yes? Ok! Now I loved the first one, Curse of the Black Pearl but the reason I liked parts 2 and 3 better was because of Davvy Jones. How often do you find a man who looks like a seafood buffet? hehehe And we get to see Orlando bloom's bare back which is so damn sexy and in the last bit with the bandana... ohhhh baby! I mean the boy has grown up so well and has established himself as a brilliant actor. My favorite scene from part 3 is the gathering of the Bretherin Court and Keith Richard's entry! Of course Captain Jack Sparrow is my favorite fantasy man... I love dirty, witty ol' Jack!
Favorite Quote: Part 1:
Captain Jack: "You know, for having such a bleak outlook on pirates you are well on your way to becoming one: sprung a man from jail, commandeered a ship of the fleet, sailed with a buccaneer crew out of Tortuga, and you're completely obsessed with treasure."
Part 2: Elizabeth: "There will come a moment when you will have a chance to show it. To do the right thing."
Captain Jack: "I love those moments. I like to wave at them as they pass by."
Part 3: Captain Jack: "You know, for all that pirates are clever-called, we are an unimaginative lot when it comes to naming things."
Gibbs: "Like?"
Captain Jack: "I once sailed with a geezer lost both his arms and part of his eye."
Gibbs: "What did you call him?"
Captain Jack: [pause] "Larry."
